My type of practice has changed, what do I do?

Modified on Tue, 7 Jan, 2025 at 2:34 PM

Over time, your career path may change for many reasons.  The Medical Council's new framework for Professional Competence addresses this by setting slightly different requirements for doctors who are engaged in the practice of medicine and doctors who are not engaged.

This is managed in your CPDValet for Professional Competence.

If you started the year in one type of practice and your circumstances change during that year, you can easily request a change by submitting a request to our team at professionalcompetence@rcpi.ie.
