What do I need to know about the Annual Verification Process (AVP)?

Modified on Wed, 20 Nov, 2024 at 10:53 AM

The verification of your Professional Competence online record is a key element of Professional Competence Schemes.

Each year, postgraduate training bodies are required by the Medical Council to select 3 - 5% of doctors enrolled on their Schemes to engage in an Annual Verification Process.

Selected doctors will be notified in good time so that they can make adjustments to their records if needed, before the process begins.

The online records will be reviewed, and feedback will be provided in the form of a report, explaining any issues found and what action is needed to resolve them.
