Key items to consider when planning your CPD activity

Modified on Thu, 19 Dec, 2024 at 10:27 AM

Here are some pointers to help you decide on what activities to plan:

Time and Resources:

  • Do you need to book time off work?
  • Do you need to ensure cover for your absence?
  • Do you need to make travel/accommodation arrangements?
  • Is there funding available?

The educational activity:

  • Does the activity support good professional practice
  • Has the activity been planned on assessed needs
  • Are you planning a good range of diverse and relevant practice-based activities?
  • Have you made time for reflection and further action
  • Can your participation be documented and demonstrable
  • For Accredited CE: has the activity been approved by an eligible body?
